Jurassic World is a movie that divided opinion but was always going to get a sequel. Jurrasic world follows on from the original trilogy. Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, ‘World’ features out off control dinosaurs and a thrown in romance. One of the few things we knew about the sequel up until now was that Pratt and Dallas were returning. Now we have a new name to add to the cast list.
I said ‘cast’ list.
The awesomely named, yet, talented Justice Smith has officially signed on.
According to comingsoon.net:
“Justice Smith will join a cast that includes returning stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard alongside Toby Jones and Rafe Spall. Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg will produce the film, which is scheduled for a release on June 22, 2018.”
Justice’s casting marks the latest peak in a rapid rise for the LA-born actor. Justice’s filmography, to date, includes two movie roles and four tv roles. The starring role in Netflix original ‘Get Down’ is another role he’s gained in 2016. Smith’s role in the Jurassic World is currently unconfirmed yet rumored to be a scientist.
Furthermore, we still know almost nothing about the sequel’s plot. As a result of the first movie’s plot, we know that the island is overrun by dinosaurs. Director J.A Bayona has gone on record while promoting ‘A Monster Calls’ to say:
“It will be darker and scarier than the previous film. Obviously when you have Chris Pratt, it will also be very funny. But it will be darker. It is a second step in a trilogy, and the second step is always dark as in The Empire Strikes Back or the Wrath of Khan,’ which are the examples you always get.”
